This is my new “metal cart mod” for the Xhale o2 e-cig. I was tired of tasting plastic fumes, so I made my own mod from a tool from Autozone. I took a telescoping magnetic pocket pick-up tool and cut off the end with a hacksaw. I sanded it down and put a screw in the bottom and now I can vape without worrying about sucking on poison gas. The metal cart replaces the little plastic inserts with the tin foil and e-juice–not the entire cartridge.

So I’ve this for over a week now and it has become the only thing I have been using for vaping. I don’t even bother with the USB passthrough anymore because the vaping is that good on the SD MkII, and the battery life also so long, that I don’t need to use anything else. My main gripes with the unit are the button coming loose VERY easily and the juice that came with the package. The button has been designed to be easily removed so that it can be replaced or for cleaning etc However it comes loose so easily that I was finding myself tightening it once every hour and worrying that I was going to drop it and the spring that sits just under the button. At one stage it nearly did drop off and I was lucky I caught it in time. To fix this, I added some craft glue to the under side of the button, where it attaches to the screw. The craft glue won’t bind with the metal, so I can unscrew it if I need to but it has given the button much more grip and it hasn’t come loose since. The other thing is the juice, it’s the TW 24mg Tobacco flavour and it tastes horrible. It’s not the worst flavour in the world but by comparison with all the other flavours available, it is the last choice I would have made to be the one in the box. It is so bad that had I not tried other TW flavours, I would be seriously hesitant about buying other TW liquids. Luckily I know that every other, albeit a couple here and there, TW flavour is absolutely wonderful. It is curious to me why this flavour was used …

After I screwed in the new cartridge (which was menthol), it had a clean and fresh taste to them. It tasted a lot better than a traditional cigarette and took away the craving I was having at the time. The electronic cigarette, itself, was pretty heavy because of the battery inside of it. If you take long pulls from cigarettes, you might want to try to resist taking long pulls on these electronic cigarettes. If you do, the tip will blink to let you know you’re smoking too fast and may damage the atomizer. When you get low on the cartridge and it’s time to change it, you can taste the difference but it will also blink to let you know, too.
Overall, I enjoy the taste of Blu electronic cigarettes. It feels so much better e-smoking than smoking traditional cigarettes, not to mention a much better taste. If you are looking to switch to a safer alternative from traditional cigarettes or would like to quit smoking, I would highly recommend trying out Blu electronic cigarettes. Electronic Cigarette – Using Your Electronic Cigarette For The First Time
To help you get started with your new electronic cigarette kit, here are some tips to using it for the first time.
Please fully read the user manual that accompanied your new kit. Even if you have used another type of e-cig, instructions to its use can vary between devices.
Charging the batteries.
Ensure you have connected the battery charger into the mains socket and the indicator light shows green.
Carefully screw a battery into the charger, observing that the battery tip flashes several times, to ensure it is connected to the charger. When connected the charger indicator light will show ‘red’, this means it is charging.
When charging is complete the indicator light will turn ‘green’ showing the battery is charged and ready for use.
Preparing your Atomiser
When you receive your kit for the first time, the electronic cigarette cartridge attached to the atomiser contains no e-liquid, so please remove this and throw away.
Attach a fresh cartridge from the cartridge bottle, making sure you remove all packaging and protective seals. Stand the atomiser on it’s base for several minutes to allow the atomiser to absorb the e-liquid.
Using your electronic cigarette for the first time.
When the battery is fully charged, attach this to the atomiser fitted with the cartridge.
Note: If your electric cigarette is a super e-cig, do not over tighten the atomiser on the battery, as this will restrict the airflow and shorten the cartridge life.
Inhale gently from the cartridge observing the battery indicator [LED] glowing. Ensure the air-intake valve is not covered by your fingers. With short 2 second inhales, about 3 – 4 times, allow the atomiser to build up vapour. Once the vapour has built up, continue to use the electronic cigarette like a regular cigarette.

It tastes funny?
“If your cigarette has a ‘burnt’ taste that will not go away there are a couple of things to check:
First of all check that the cartridge isn’t dry or a brown colour. If so, change the cartridge.
Secondly, your atomizer might have gone through a ‘cleaning cycle’ and there may be some loosened debris, so try following the steps of cleaning/blowing through your atomizer again and see if that solved the problem”.
If the burnt taste persists it could be that the atomiser has some burnt fibres or liquid on it, to cure this use two to three drops of premium lighter fluid [like Zippo] dripped directly onto the atomiser, place your finger at each end and shake vigorously. Place upright on some kitchen roll for 5 minutes, then blow out with canned air and leave overnight for it to dry out and for the fluid to evaporate. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SMOKE THE ATOMISER immediately after following this procedure, leave it overnight to completely dry out. The following morning insert a new cartridge and smoke as normal, the burnt taste should have gone.

How to maintain your Electronic Cigarette
After using your Electronic health cigarette for awhile you may notice that the amount of vapour that it produces will become less, the reason for this is after some time the Atomizer gets clogged up with residue from the liquid. But there are a couple of things that you can do to fix or prevent this from happening.
“Special Note” If you want your electronic cigarette to last as long as possible treat it the way you would treat all your electronic devices, keep it clean & dry at all times and only charge the battery when it is completely flat.
1.Prevent liquid from building up inside the atomizer by leaving it upside down on a paper towel every night before you go to bed, you should see liquid on the paper towel when you wake up in the morning.
2.Rinse your atomizer under warm running water while holding it with a tweezers for a couple of minutes and leave it to dry overnight on a paper towel.
3.Don’t use too much liquid on the atomizer, more liquid will not produce more smoke it will just damage your electronic health cigarette.
(Note: There may be certain electronic cigarette stores out there that may say that this will break your atomizer, these people have a very poor understanding on how exactly an atomizer really works and it would be ill-advised to listen to any advice they might have, we have tested this method countless times with various types of liquid and it works great. It has nothing to do with the type of liquid being used)”Just be sure to let it dry over night”
Remember that after you rinsed your atomizer it may take up to 40 drags before it will function properly again, this is because the wick has to absorb the liquid again.
Always keep the part that connects to the battery dry because if any liquid gets into the battery it will cause the pressure switch to malfunction and will void your 3 month warranty on your battery. So always clean both ends of the Battery screw connector regularly.

Once you purchase your electronic cigarette you will want to use it as long as you can. Some people smoke more than others and that is why we cane out with the electronic cigarette USB charger. All you have to do is plug in the base electronic cigarette charger into your wall(the big black square module) and then plug in the little electronic cigarette USB module into the home charger. Once they are in place all you have to do is screw in the electronic cigarette battery into the USB port and a red light will come on to let you know the electronic cigarette battery is charging and when the light turns green the electronic cigarette battery is at full charge so that you can enjoy your electronic cigarette again.
